OMIS signed an agreement with PARP to co-finance the project Automation of production processes and internal processes towards Industry 4.0

OMIS S.A. has signed a co-financing agreement with the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) for the project “Automation of production to support the transition to Industry 4.0” under the European Funds for Eastern Poland 2021–2027

Priority I: Entrepreneurship and Innovation / Measure 1.2: Automation and Robotization in SMEs

The aim of the project is to automate and robotize key production processes, supporting the company’s transition to Industry 4.0.

Planned activities under the project include: The company intends to purchase an Automated guided vehicle (AGV), automated machines, and industrial robots for production, along with the necessary IT infrastructure, and to implement an electronic document management system.

 

The expected results of the project include: An increased level of automation and robotization at OMIS S.A., which will lead to higher efficiency, greater precision, and waste reduction during production. This, in turn, will result in improved product quality, an expanded product offering, and a reduced carbon footprint.

The project is expected to generate benefits for OMIS S.A.

OMIS S.A. is implementing the project Improving Energy Efficiency at OMIS

Project Objective

The objective of the project is to enhance the competitiveness and increase the value of OMIS S.A. by expanding and modernizing the company's production assets and technical infrastructure.

Project Outcomes

The implementation of the project will reduce the company's primary energy consumption in its manufacturing processes by 57.87%, resulting in significantly improved energy efficiency and a lower environmental impact.

Project Scope

The project includes the following investments:

  • Purchase of a pass-through shot blasting machine
  • Purchase of a profile drilling and sawing machine
  • Purchase of a robotic plate grinding system
  • Purchase of an automated welding workstation
  • Purchase of a CNC plasma cutting machine with cutting, drilling, milling, and tapping functions
  • Replacement of the existing lighting system with energy-efficient lighting

The aim of the project is to implement innovative technology for the production of specialist and atypical steel structures using three-dimensional modeling systems (BIM). The effect of the project implementation will be to expand the company's portfolio with specialist and high-margin products and to increase the level of employment.
